We are situated in a rural location just outside the quiet little hamlet of Le Lindois, close to the border where the regions of the Charente, the Dordogne and Limousin meet, and close to the quaint market town of La Rochefoucauld with its own magnificent Chateau, restaurants and shops and just half an hour from the historic city of Angoulême, the capital of the Charente.

Surrounded by farmland, with lovely views across the Charente countryside, Le Tilleul is the perfect location to just get away from it all and relax or to use as a base to explore the region with its culture, history and sightseeing opportunities.

By Plane -

To Poitiers - driving time is approx. 1 hour 36 minutes - from London Stansted at www.ryanair.co.uk

By Train -

If you would like to take the train, take the high speed TGV from Paris to Angouleme (1 hour 43 minutes). Angouleme is then a 35 minute drive / taxi ride to Le Tilleul.

By Car -

You can travel to Le Tilleul from any of the French channel ports – Our preferred route is Portsmouth to Caen. Travel time 5 - 6 hours distance 308 miles. Distance to the Eurotunnel terminal at Calais is 466 miles and travel time 7-8 hours.
