VeloRail, Roumaziers - A section of ‘no longer used’ railway track is now utilised by 5-person, pedal-powered vehicles which transport the 2 pedallers and three ‘passengers’ through some scenic and shady Charente countryside. Exercise and enjoyment for the whole family! 20 mins drive away.

Brantome - The scenic town of Brantome, known as the Venice of the Perigord, is about a one hour drive away just across the border in the northern Dordogne. Beautiful scenery, a medieval abbey and 11th century belfry with pavement cafes and restaurants, and large Friday Market. Large park and kayaking on the river Dronne, which circles the town.
